Functional Dry Needling
FDN is used as a treatment to release shortened bands of muscles and decrease trigger points causing musculoskeletal pain. This can help resolve pain, muscle tension and promote healing. It is performed by inserting a tiny monofilament needle into a muscle and augmented with use of Estim to reset the contraction of the muscle, promoting a more normal contraction of the muscle itself. FDN is not acupuncture. The goal of FDN is to stimulate a twitch response in a muscle with a sustained contraction, shortened muscle band and allow the muscle to release its chronic restriction and tightness . Our practitioners have met FDN requirements within the State of Idaho , and have specifically received training by KinetaCore .
FDN is beneficial for:
- Athletes
- Painful soft tissue areas
- Trigger points from poor posture in neck and back
- Hamstring Strains
- Calf/ Achilles strains
- Quadricep strains
- ITB issues/ runners knee
